About Dr. Laura Thompson

Dr. Laura M. Thompson is an unquestionable vessel of God. Affirmed by the Father she is successfully running the course that he has appointed her to. Summoned by a healing God, she has found divine favor in Him and because of this individual lives will never be the same.

In 1984 Dr. Thompson surrendered to the mantle upon her life and acknowledges the call into the gospel ministry. She sat with diligence and remained faithful under the ministry of Pastor Larry Maddox. After remaining faithful to Pastor Maddox and New Growth Tabernacle, she was released into ministry. Fighting against many obstacles and obeying the voice of God, she became the first independent female Pastor in the Muscle Shoals area. With no members she established the Open Door Church Min. Inc. in 1987. Today she pastors one of most successful ministries in the Quad Cities area. Committed to produce the Spirit of Excellence Open Door Church is truly a house of refuge for the lost and broken. Dr. Thompson’s first covenant with God is to usher a fresh wind of the Holy Spirit flowing very fluently in the prophetic. Secondly, God has given her a Prophetic mandate to release proverbial truths like firmly embedded nails for the mastering of assemblies. The Father has also crowned her head with wisdom to make her a mother in Zion. Because she possesses a travailing anointing the church of the 21st century shall rise to its fullest potential.

God has divinely given Dr. Thompson a vision for Open Door Church Ministries, which is called “A Ray of Hope.” Various outreach ministries are operating in full capacity. For example, Operation Breadbasket & Operation Recycle are outreach ministries design to feed and clothe people naturally and spiritually. The mentoring program of Operation Recycle has caused many lives to be changed and transformed. Victory in the Word is a broadcast outreach ministry design to edify, educate, and empower the body of Christ. Laura Thompson Ministries International houses all conference, crusades, concert, publishing and many other areas of ministry. Also she is a very successful entrepreneur. With the establishment of Jesus Is More Powerful Productions (formally Blessed Productions), Kids Just Like Us Daycare, Cleanliness Is Godliness Janitorial Service and Array’s Apparel she has display how Christians can be very successful in business ventures. Also she serves as an overseer of ministries as far away as Africa and Australia. As well as covering various other Pastor’s thru out the United States. In 2002 God blessed her to start an Economic and Development ministry called C.O.R.E. Christ Organized Relationships Emphasized stresses the importance of building Christ centered relationship with leadership in the body of Christ. The goal of C.O.R.E. is to help other leaders reach their potential and produce excellence for ministry. She is affiliated with I.C.A.N. the International Coalition of Apostolic Networks under the Leadership of Apostle Antoine Hawkins of Dallas, Texas. She is submitted under the Apostolic covering of Apostle Dr. Joanne G. Fomby. Her Pastoral covering is Apostle Larry G. Maddox and New Growth Ministries in Springfield, Missouri.

Dr. Laura M. Thompson is indeed a very powerful and anointed woman of God. Her number one goal is to gain 1 billion souls for the body of Christ and establish a place of refuge for his people. She also desires to establish and make ready the church for the Lord’s end time harvest. As she continues to advance the Kingdom she also want to be a living pool of Bethesda that whosoever steps into her presence’s shall be made whole. She has been happily married for 48 years to Mr. Marvin D. Thompson, the mother of two adult daughters, one son in law and the proud grandmother of four handsome grandsons and two beautiful granddaughters.
